Based on my first exposure to Vietnam, as a helicopter pilot in 1967-68, I began returning to Vung Tau, a resort town, 125 km Southeast of Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City. The city has become the center of services for the gas and oil industry with oil rigs 50 miles offshore (many expatriates make their home in Vung Tau). Vung Tau has become a seaside resort, a weekend getaway spot on the South China Sea.
Vung Tau, Vietnam has become my home. I have become experienced at exporting exotic leathers, such as crocodile, python skins, pearls, silks, and a variety of necklaces made with crocodile teeth, wild boar tusks and monkey teeth for over 10 years.
